Russia Claims Strike on Ukrainian Military Training Center; Ukraine Reports Massive Attack on Kyiv

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that from the night of June 16 to the morning of June 17, Russian air defense systems shot down 147 Ukrainian drones over Moscow Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, Bryansk Oblast, and other regions. UN General Assembly Establishes International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures

The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on June 16, declaring December 4 of each year as the "International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures." The resolution points out that unilateral coercive measures and related legislation violate international law and the UN Charter, and violate the norms and principles guiding peaceful relations between states. The resolution urges states not to adopt, enact, or implement any unilateral economic, financial, or trade measures that do not conform to international law and the UN Charter, and that hinder or impair the full realization of economic and social development of states, particularly developing countries.
