Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated on March 3rd that Canada would begin imposing a 25% tariff on C$155 billion worth of US goods starting on March 4th. Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on the same day that in response to the US tariffs, Ontario was prepared to directly cut off electricity supply to several US states and stop exporting nickel to the US. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stated on March 3rd that the Mexican government had developed a plan to respond.
